Since January 2009 Foto CID is the structurally most growing department of CID Investigation. Concept, task and activities of Foto CID from 2007 until 2009 are described in CID Report 2009 - Fotodokumentation. Except the three investigation themes Berlin/Colombia, Orange-Nassau and Ethics in Medicine & Science all other investigative efforts of CID are basically activities also of Foto CID. The matters Natural Science (most entomological & botancial macrophotography) and Regional Studies (landscape, architecture & hotspot photography) are basically worked out using the digital camera tool. Also the later described Art & Artcraft activities of CID-Arte / RIVERSTONES Atelier (Piedras del RIO) integrate more and more the presentation of ceramic products by photography and digital catalogues or use the transformation of photographies with digital techniques into art ( see also www.pinturas-fotograficas.blogspot.com – www.silueteros.blogspot.com ).
Technological Structure
Since 23rd August 2008 the CID Office is connected by an Deutsche Telekom fixed line to Internet. Since that date began the development of the CID Internet scene, mapped and described with the report chapter
www.deutschland-intern.blogspot.com.
Foto CID is still using as general electronic data processing instrument the ACER ASPIRE 5315 based on LINUX / Linpus and GIMP 2.2.10. The Foto CID digital camera equipment was upgraded from YAKUMO MegaImage 67x – 6.36 MegaPixel to CANON PowerShot A 640 – 10.0 MegaPixel. Conventional photography using the RICOH KR-10x reflex camera is not practized actually but in standby for exceptional occasions.
Since 7th October 2010 the CANON PowerShot electronic shows signs of injury. A fast accu or battery discharge is registered, even if the camera is switched off. Also the flash energy upload is extremely retarded. The function of the camera can only be maintained by removing the batteries after every photosession, otherwise the charged energy dissappears instantly.
As already mentioned in report 2009, the LINUX-Linpus system limits the possible activities of the image agency Foto CID. Until now no program tool to connect the peripheric elements CANOscan 5000 and KONICA-MINOLTA Dimage Scan Dual IV could be installed, also no VIDEO playback and editing is possible until now.
Next equipment upgrading step could be the acquisition of an APPLE Computer with less 500 GB data storage capacity and 1 GB primary storage. The new camera strived for is the model CANON PowerShot SX 20 IS. The result of the upgrading efforts will be published in report 2013. Official or private sponsors could be mentioned.
Foto CID Transport requirements are originated principally for photographic excursions. Transport media used during the report period are 100% public transport or bicycle.

During the month from November 2009 until March 2010 and July until August 2010 mobility due to individual health limitations was reduced.

Photographers History
Contains presentation data of the Foto-CID photographers. Actually the only presented curriculum is the Foto CID founders, Peter Zanger Montoya photographic lifetable with publication and exposition list and links to an second lifetable as creative artist www.peter-zanger.blogspot.com and to an ancestry board www.wegzeichen.blogspot.com.
The principal intent of Foto CID to develop the basic, individual structure towards an International Photographic Agency cristallizes in the creation of the first two collaborators, the photographers Ai Xiannu from China and Lilu Multipaze from Colombia. Their works are presented in Flickr photostreams. Future own image series connected at the Foto CID Homepage are in preparation.

Photographic Agency Establishment
To promote Foto CID as Internet Photo Agency certain requirements have to be prepared and fulfilled:
- An extense image stock that can be consulted through Internet by possible clients or contractors (print media, advertising agencies, publishers, etc.) has to be created
- The capacity to realize inmediate photo reports by sending photographers to hot spots or by compiling thematic image series must exist
- Reliable relationships to customers and contractors must be established
- The technical equipment and capacity must be able to fulfill the actual requirements
- Terms of trade and conditions of exchange must be defined
The accomplishment of these terms is in progress based on the actual Foto CID Internet presentation and will be reinforced during the following report period.
